INTEGRATED EDUCATION & RESEARCH :

• Think about the layers - the faculty are at the top - a lot of their teaching involves graduate students and post-doctoral researchers working in the laboratory.

• Students at this level also have a teaching mission - they work with undergraduate students and sometimeshigh school students (really!)
  
  
• High School students participate in the Polymer Envoy program. They contribute to the research project of their graduate student.
  
  
• Polymer Envoys teach too - each Envoy is responsible for designing a polymer demonstration and presenting it to middle school students.
